Refund & Cancellation Policy – Chamara Tours

At Chamara Tours, we understand that travel plans may change unexpectedly. Our Refund and Cancellation Policy is designed to provide fair terms and transparent information for all our customers. Please read the following carefully before booking your tour or transport service.


1. Booking Confirmation

All tour and transport bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit or full payment as specified during the booking process. Once a booking is confirmed, you will receive an official confirmation email with your tour details and payment summary.


2. Cancellation by the Customer

If you wish to cancel your tour or service, please notify us in writing via email or WhatsApp as soon as possible.
Refunds will be issued according to the following schedule:

  • More than 7 days before the tour date:
    Full refund minus any administrative or bank processing fees.

  • 3–7 days before the tour date:
    50% of the total booking amount will be refunded.

  • Less than 3 days before the tour date or No-show:
    No refund will be issued.

Note: Refunds may take up to 14 business days to process, depending on your bank or payment method.


3. Cancellation by Chamara Tours

In rare cases, Chamara Tours may need to cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather, road closures, government restrictions, or insufficient bookings.
In such cases, customers will be offered:

  • A full refund, or

  • The option to reschedule or choose an alternative tour of equal value.

We always strive to notify our guests as early as possible if such situations arise.


4. Changes to Bookings

  • Date changes or modifications must be requested at least 48 hours before the scheduled tour or transfer.

  • All changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges if there are rate differences.


5. Non-Refundable Services

Certain expenses, such as entrance tickets, hotel reservations, third-party activities, or transport costs, may be non-refundable once booked. These will be clearly stated during the booking process or on your invoice.


6. No-show Policy

If you fail to arrive at the pickup location or are not available at the confirmed time, your booking will be treated as a no-show, and no refund will be provided.


7. Early Departures or Unused Services

Once the tour has started, no refunds will be issued for early departures, unused portions of a tour, or missed inclusions due to customer choice, illness, or delay.


8. Force Majeure

Chamara Tours is not liable to provide refunds for cancellations caused by events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, strikes, flight delays, or government regulations). In such cases, we will make every effort to offer alternative arrangements.


9. Refund Method

Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original booking unless otherwise agreed. Bank or transfer fees (if any) will be deducted from the total refund amount.
